Donny Everett, a Senior pitcher and 1st baseman, signed a National Letter of Intent with Vanderbilt University during a ceremony held on November 12, 2014 at Clarksville High School.
“I knew right off that it was going to be the right fit for me,” Everett said. “You’re talking about a great baseball program with a lot of tradition at one of the best schools in the country. It was kind of an easy decision for me to make. I’m close to home and I’m in a great city too.”
The Commodores are coming off a National Championship season and by signing Everett have captured another power pitcher to add to their already talented team.
“It’s a huge deal to be able to sign with a team that just won the national championship and plays in a power conference and the best conference in the country,” Coach Brian Hetland said. “Those opportunities don’t come around to everyone and Donny has certainly earned this chance and has taken advantage of it.”
Donny is the son of Teddy and Susan Everett.
